and got the last flange off my transfer. So I pulled the 1.3L out today and put the 1lt in. Drives well, no noises or vibrations.



My question is, will my speedo, with 29's and a 1lt case be around about accurate for what speed I'm going?

It mainly for my fuel consumption records

Nup. Transfer gears don't effect speedo reading as the speedo drive is on the rear output. Shouldn't be too far out with 29's tho

o Rightio then, that makes sense. I figure if the 29's increased my gearing by 10% than my actual speed would be 10% more than what the speedo says. Does that sound reasonable?

Is there any way of telling the difference between 1lt and 1.3lt transfer case from the outside?

I have the 1lt in the car now and am not convinced its any lower than it was before.
