hey guys, im looking for a jimny just want to know what are the possible engine conversions for the vvt m13a? suzi store says there m15a will only suit non vvt models. and any figures as to how much it will cost to get a conversion done properly will be helpfull aswell (rough figures are ok).

if i get a high km car for a cheaper price an engine conversion may be justifiable currently have a swift gti but want something 4x4 so i can tag along for longweekends and the like... Thanks in advance

A member on here vermin has just done a m18a conversion done by suzi store for 3kish fitted, of the top of my head.

A guy in the club recently did an M18 conversion too... I believe he did it himself. Looks the goods and goes great.

im only worried about getting it through rego and because im still on green p's for a while. and if i get a high km motor ill have enough for the conversion by the time ive fitted the other mods.

M18a is a 1.8 VVT.

Forget it, if you are still on your P's then you won't have the experience, ability and patience to do this conversion. If you have to even think about cost then again I say forget it this is going to cost you a lot of cash.

I think this is an unrealistic dream for someone just starting into Suzuki 4x4's, just go out buy a Sierra and have some fun, a stock sierra is going to be better than a fragile Jimny.

conversion would only be done once the existing motor would need a rebuild... and it would be done through suzistore or even suzitech or dmw dave motorsport... i like the jimny more and im trying to get something more comfortable then the lowered swift i have now, aircon isn't even installed (in the garage). i dont think a sierra would be much of a step up comfort wise.

and i just want it mainly for trips away not real hard stuff. I do 300-800kms a week. so cant justify extra fuel costs for a hilux etc which is what i was originally going to get.

i doubt homer would do another m18 conversion , if he did it would be a lot more money than the last one he did

From what i understand the m18a conversion is almost plug and play with a aparter harness it shouldn't be to hard.
