Hi Everyone,

I'm finally in a position where my car will take me places that could cause me a lot of damage (6" calmini articulation kit, rear lock right locker, 30" mudders, calmini winch bar and 12000lb winch)... So now that all of the fun bits are done (don't tell me a need a front locker, I'm very weak when it comes to peer pressure)... I need to think about saftey and I want to get a roll cage.

So, any tips?? I own a TIG/ARC welder - but am not that flash with it (I know people that are). I've seen the Calmini kit, but don't really want to pay them again, freight is a killer.

Anyone in Melb that could do it? Can I keep the rear seats functional and still do it? It's a soft top. Is a roll bar enough, or do I need a cage. Anyone got pics of a vit with internal cage? Approximate cost?

Lots of questions I know...

Picture for reference (well, more for fun).

i've got a roll bar in the back of mine. its a 4 point and mounts to the body by bolts. However its effectiveness in a rollover is a bit questionable. I might take a photo of it if you're interested :p

You lose the rear seats though. But it looks awesome with the top off!

Pics would be great, it'd be nice to see how much room it takes up. I'd like to keep the rear seats if possible... Well one of them... I generally fill the other space with recovery gear.
