Hey guys, ordered some EFS U-bolts for the front of my SJ40 NT and i was replacing the outer passenger one and noticed it is a different size. Havent checked the drivers side one yet so i thought i might ask before i take it off for an exact comparison.
Are the U bolts between the Narrow Track and the Wide track different?
part numbers i have currently...
C655-passenger side
C654-drivers side
any help would greatly be appreciated
Karl

It's not that it's a narrow track, it engine size and axle tube thickness.
The 1.0lts have smaller axle tubes and U-bolts to both the NT 1.3 and the WT 1.3.
Even though they are both Narrow Track Sierras, there are plenty of detail differences between the NT 1.3 and the 1.0 Sierra, and you shouldn't assume that all bits are the same.

WT and NT sierras have a different driver's side inner U bolt due to the different spring pad spacing. On the NT, the U bolt is longer because it sits further up the diff pumpkin.

Thanks for the info guys. Called the guys who supplied me with the U bolts, they said that there was only one listing for sierra's in his book. He is going to find out more today and hopefully find the right bolts.

If it's the same guy I got mine from (and I had the same problem) I got the same excuse and he wanted me to pay $50 extra to get the right size made up so I found the information he needed for stock ones and he said he would "Continue his research into it" - Very impressed NOT.

The guy i ordered them through is a family friend and always very helpful. I took down some rough measurements and called him back. He said that they didn't match up with anything from Iron Man or EFS.
Has anyone ever replaced theirs and possibly still have the part numbers?
The reason i am replacing them is because one of the previous owners has put some other U bolts in and they are to long and i am worried about them catching on rocks or something....worse case scenario i get the angle grinder onto them.
