so the new zook has arrived (pics in rigs section) i was just going to swap out my suspension and wheels/tyres from my old one but now thinking just wheels/tyres.

questions are

best gearing for 30's? will be doing highway driving. 30's on my nt feel the same as stockers on my wt  now i see why everyone says you need gearing for 30+. 6.5's overkill?

thinking of 2 inch susp lift but want the softest most comfy ones around, any thoughts? got ome in my old one but they are a little stiff... just take a spring pack out? or is there a better option/brand

i'd prob prefer not to do a BL but also dont want to take the grinder to the new one so not sure on my options there

Well I set mine up for alot of road driving also. Its not an extreme offroader, its my DD but still seems to get me places quite well.

I run 30's with a 4.9:1 case and std 3.7 wt diffs but have the 1.6. The 4.9's will make a great up grade for yours even with the 1.3. It will put true 100kph in 5th at ~3500. Both the 1.6 and 1.3 I found are most happy around this rpm.
Even the 4:1's will still be descent bringing your revs to ~3400.

As for suspension the OME mediums are the softest out. You may have to take a leaf outta the rear if the pack is still too hard for a softy sierra as they are lighter than the hardtop. One other key in getting the suspension riding really well is your shocks.

For the 30's you will have to add some form of bumpstop extention to stop them smashing into your guards on uptravel.

so i think i sorted most of it out now except what ratio tcase gears, anyone tell me what revs i'll be doing at 100 with 6.5's and 30's? they are the best value by the looks and have a lifetime warranty compared to 6 months on others

will be ordering, tcase gears (6.5?) and bearing kit thing, mighty kong or similar and a spartan locker from lowrange next month and OME springs locally. am i best off with OME shocks or are the commo/hiace ones a better choice?

In my opinion go commo/hiace shocks if you want flex/value in the bush. OME if you do alot of bumpy roads and what not.
