My 1.3 eats more oil than a fat girls face, but still goes alright... for now. That said, it kinda defeats the purpose of running LPG if i'm spending $5 of oil every 100k's to keep everybody happy,?

Just a question, have you checked to see if the valve stem seals need replacing?

Yeah, not so sure about that. If a valve stem seal is split then it will suck oil straight into the engine.

how much manifold vacuum you reckon a sierra has to suck oil in when its doing 100km all day?

1 cylinder eating a litre of oil PER TANK of fuel is going to have obvious trouble with fouled plugs

So next question - who in Perth can help me out with a LPG specific rebuild?

Choosing the best compression levels and cam types is waaaay beyond my ability

order the rebuild kit of lowrange and then find a reputable engine builder

What's a 1.6 EFI worth to do yourself?

Rough estimate:

Engine & ECU $1000
BenT kit $200
engine mounts $50
Optima battery $300
Coily tank $300
EFI pump $50
EFI lines & filter $100

That's 2K. Add on a bit more for new clutch / machining of flywheel.
New oil, radiator / heater hoses, coolant and lots of electrical tape.

I didn't keep receipts for everything, but I reckon it cost me about $2500 in the end. It's the little things you don't think of that all add up

I just bought a swift gti for 500 bucks, now that comes with loom, motor, computer, and gti seats lol shouldnt cost me to much to swap things over
