Hello There,

I have been looking closely at Vitara's 1992-1996 and a V6 2.0 Auto seems like the best option. The only thing is they seem to be only available in the LWB 5 door Vitara. Has anyone or could anyone you give me an idea of how easy it is to put the V6 2.0 Auto into a 2 door Vitara, does it slot right in??

Thanks for your time,

Tony

as far as I know the V6 models use a completely different chassis that is wider, so its a bit more involved than it appears

As Royce said, the v6 is much wider, and isn't a quick swap...

for the money you would spend on this swap try and find one of the later swb's with the j20 4cyl, 2.0 litre engines.

they go pretty well and are all factory. they are usually the ones that are usually two tone ie light blue upper, silver plastic trim lower.

hey, if i'm puttin one in an lj80 a vit engine bay and chassis would be like a wharehouse to me. the v6 has long engine mount pods, these can be removed and replace with shorter fabbed ones, just make sure you have starter motor clearances, and for my money the v6 is the better of the 2.0 litres.
