have been doing a bit of night driving in the bush without a bull bar and driving past dead roos on the side of the road, so its about time i put a front bar on our 07 4door GV V6. Im currently running 265/65/17 tyres (30.6x10.5x17) that just rub at the front when turning (if they dont rub, they're too small lol). With the arb bar, my understanding is i can mount a winch on it plus it gives a bit better approach angle and gets rid of the flimsy plastic bumper that fouls the tyres. Allowing me to possibly go even bigger tyres :).

Problem is i want a front winch bar in this calmini style http://www.puresuzuki.com/winch_bumper1.htm but cant find any bolt on bar for the new shape gv except for the arb bar. Is there any other options except arb or custom fab?

Pretty sure arb is your only store-bought option.

that calamari bar wont do much in a roo strike, skip would make a mess of the headlights... what's so gay about the arab bars? thought you'd be accustomed to gay being a jeep owner! :thefinger:

Winch bars? :?

There are a few sellers out there who think an acceptable practice is to make a "bullbar" that sits infront of the OEM plastic bar. This is to skirt the airbag requirements. Fucking lame! Looks lame, mounts lame, and is so half assed its beyond a joke.

Now that's gayer than a jeep.

"I want a bar to protect my car from roo strikes, but I don't mind doing major damage to my car so my bar looks cool."

Have another think about the decision making process you're going through there before you rule out that ARB bar. I don't know how many roo's you've hit, but I can speak from experience that if you hit a roo at speed you're not "sacrificing a headlight for looking cool" you're shitting yourself it's not going to join you in the cab.

I'd be getting the ARB bar.

Steve.
