Standard rears are what most people go with.

depends if your going to do the half arsed job or the full job.
Half arse involves drilling the rear hanger back and using extended shackles. This is difficult to get to work properly.
The full job involves moving the front hanger forward (and some chassis extension), which if your moving them to the same spacings as the rear, then you can run the same springs front and back.
EFS are the longest of the shelf spring available for sierra but I think most people will say OME's are nicer ride.

Haha I definitely will not be doing a half arse job. I know what's involed with the ruf and I'm very anal on my work.
I had a set of efs for my old Sierra but sold it BEFOR I could put em in so I'm un sure on what they were like also what is a goof shock combination?

Some will say The commodore/hiace combination.
But really, if your anal about doing it right.
Once your RUF is complete. flex the car and measure the distance fully up and fully compressed from axel to shock tower.
Then go to your desired shock supplier and find the shock that meets these requirements.
*note* you may need to adjust your shock tower depending on shock sizes available (in particular the compressed measurement)
I randomly found out that the standard rear shocks off a hilux fit quite nicely into the rear of a sierra with a lot more droop. and 2'' lifted hilux fronts fit quite nicely in the front.
Look in my build for picture comparisons

I wouldnt call it half arsed providing its done properly and is probably better suited to a 31 inch tyre as you dont have the decrease in approach angle that you would with a full RUF.

also instead of extending the chassis out couldn't u have the rear hanger moved back .. ? or make up your own plate ? but i guess that would move tyres closer to fire wall

For a full RUF you need to do a chassis extension of around 2-4 inches and only move the axle forward about 1.5 inches giving you more chassis and shackle sticking out the front then stock. Mine had around 3 inch extension and even with big 32's the front hangers and shackles took a beating.

Yes mine did until I put a 79 series steering box on it which had a forward facing pitman arm.
