on a WT diff are the brackets that stop the ubolts moving sideways the same on both sides?
the drivers side was fine and everything bolted up alright but on the passanger side the bracket is different and when one ubolt is on the other one doesn't line up has anyone else had this problem? or am i just doing something wrong again?
cheers

The brackets are different to suit the off-set diff head aren't they?

if you mean a far bit different then yeah the U bolts are different sizes.
if you mean a couple mm different, then yeah sometimes you have to squeeze the U bolts together to get the ends in the holes.

it can be a bit fiddly to get them all in, a vice is your friend for bending them in a bit so they line up. dont force them in with a hammer or something though as you might ruin the thread.

Yeah, they are slightly different Mike. I can't remember which, but one side looks like it will just slip off. Don't worry, it won't.
Edit: here's some pics
Driver's side:
