My LJ50 3 cyl 2stroke motor has a collapsed con-rod big end bearing - Can any engine re-builder do these or do I have to go to a 2 stroke specialist?

Take it to a motor bike engine rebuilder.

The bearings and rods are still available brand new from suzuki and if you get a really good bike shop you can get the crank better than what is was from the factory.

The whole crankshaft is just pressed together the trick is puting back to gether exactly right. If its not in the right spot when its put back to gether then it your engly cylce will be out.

Just find an awesome 2 stroke engine rebuilder. Maybe Ball knows someone close to you who would be good.

I don't know anywhere off the top of my head in NSW but will have a dig in my contact list and see if I can find someone.

A mate is getting his crank rebuilt in Sydney at the moment. They are trying to locate the seals and bearing, although it is looking like the seals are not available. The guy doing the work is a bike repairer. I will let you know when it is done and how it went, just to make sure the guy knows what he is doing. I am getting a rattle in my 50, so may need a rebuild soon too.

That would be real good Fifty - I guess the seals you are talking about are the cylinder to cylinder mains seals

Yes, the seals between the chambers. The seals on each end are just common lip seals. He got the crank last week, so should have a result of some sort this week.
