my zook has an imobolizer that only works when the battery has been disconnected and i don't have a remote for it
how would i go about removing it?

why would you need an immobiliser if the battery is disconected? its already immobilised

1st step is to find it, 2nd step is to find where its been tapped into and then any factory wires that have been looped through it to rejoin

it starts working when you connect the battery then the idicators flash and you can't start the car

where is the most common place they put them?

Most are mounted under the drivers side dash, usually around the steering column area.

If its a name brand immobiliser like Laserline.... then it should only have black wires going into it making it a little hard to disable.

just listen for it ticking with the indicators
see if you can find a small switch wired into it, turn the ignition on and flick the switch (may be a button) and it will override it

They are usually wired into the ignition switch wiring so look for any factory wiring that has been cut and has (usually thinner) aftermarket wiring wired into it. If it's like most of the immobolizers I've had the displeasure of looking at over the years, there will be a birds nest of wiring under your dashboard.

i had same problem with my premier.. all of a sudden you would be at the lights ..have some sort of voltage fluctuation and the alarm would go off.
the horn was removed so it didnt make any sound.. the olnly way to turn it off was disconect the battery a few times...and it would also turn on when the battery was disconected.....

for a while (still am) i was runnin just a hot wire to the coil.. easiest fix

was a pain it the ass removing it and I'm left with spahetti and a massive massive headache even looking at rewireing it :'( main reason why its not mobile at the moment

In the year and a bit I have had my Zook I've never once had it tampered with. I don't usually bother locking it either. Maybe it is just where I live??

If my car is not in my driveway I'm either wheelin or it's within eyesight. Whilst it's in my carport, it's protected by my german shepard.
