Autobarn, supercheap, mitre 10, bunnings, auto parts place, machine place or try eBay
Go to blackwoods and get a tube die instead of using pipe die(there shit for tube)
Or get one made like I use

get the right dies for the steel you use. If you want pipe ask for pipe dies, if you are using tube use tube dies. they are different. A medium or heavy walled pipe is strong enough for most bar work, roll cages excluded.

You use tube for bar work
Pipe is what they use to run water under ground
Correct me if im wring but A pipe die will work but it does occasionally kink the tube
Tube dies are a tighter fit nd more arched for a better bend
Pipe is measured in nb I think nd tube in mm
Pipe bender is for pipe
Tube bender is for tube

To sum it up then....
Cheap bender = Cheap result. Tube or pipe is irrelevent.

the only thing you got correct there is the nb part and the pipe bender for pipe and tube for tube
99% of barwork on this site is done with CHS, a type of pipe (that zooki08 thinks is water pipe)
As long as you buy something like OZTUBE CHS (its still a pipe) from soemwhere like metaland you will be getting a pipe that also complies to AS1163, that standard for structural applications in Australia.
few other misconceptions
Tube or pipe are not stronger than the other, only difference is how its sized, they can both still have the sme mechanical properties
Seamless is not stronger than Welded jsut cause its seamless, infact seamless structural pipe or tube is hard to come by
You need a die to suit the OD of the material you are using, whether its pipe, chs or tube, these are dear so pick one to suit the material
Cheap supercheap benders are a bit crap, add a die from dawn tools and it will be better
benders like the speedworx and JD squared are a lot better but more $$$
if you are doing tube bars consider using a butweld elbow instead, a lot cheaper

Awww at least I got some thing right
Usually I'm all wrong
I didn't mean all pipe is water pipe
Just that pipe some times refers to water pipe
I use CDS, dont no if that's tube or pipe
Royce is the man when it comes to tube or pipe threads

Where do you buy this cold drawn seamless from?
Seeing its a process not a product it can be either pipe or tube

That sounds like the old steam pipe we used to get from the power station junk heap in Colinsville Qld. Made good fence posts

I used 40NB shed 80 pipe for my links which will more then likely get dragged along a few rocks occassionally. Its 48.3mm outside and 5.5mm wall and will be plenty strong enough for sliders. Cost me $140 per 6m length and was off the shelf.

This is how I see it.
Off the shelf cheap NB pipe belongs outside the vehicle.....
Special order quality OD tube belongs inside the vehicle.....
CDS or CDW doen't make any real difference. Alot of race cage manufacturers will use CDS as it is easier to internally laminate joins or bends with a telescopic sized tube. (OD matches the ID of the outer tube).
I use 1.75" (44.45mm) 350 mpa CDS for internal cages. Its a japanese milled steel and very nice to work with. If $$$ permit, molly is used. (same size)
But for most applications that AZ sierras are used for, 32NB medium pipe is sufficent.

Technicly its SHS not RHS.
Its usually refered to as tube though, as its measure by its OD (outside Dimensions)

some 32nb CHS will do the trick, medium wall for well braced stuff like bars and heavy wall for sliders
get something Australian made from metaland or orrcon, it will be of a repeatable quality and nicer to bend and weld
