I have put a 1.6L carby vitara motor into my sierra. My problem is the motor dose not idle when the motor is worm when its cold it starts good. But as soon as it starts worming up it gets worse till the point of stalling. Now im not sure if the vac lines are right or not and as for the wiring there are a few sensor and the idling solenoid but im not sure whats ment to be hooked up to. I put the one of the sierra onto it and didnt make any diffrance so what should i try??

it was idling fine in the vitara only was hard to start when hot

So you put a non fully functional carby onto a different motor, and its not fully functional, amazing.

Sounds like its more than some lines not hooked up, as there were heat related issues when it was on the other engine.

Can you keep it running by using the throttle when its warm, or its just dead when heat affected.

Have you taken off the airfilter and looked down the throats while she is warming under idle, and when she stalls.

May be that the choke is staying on, too closed.

Maybe a carby rebuild will sort out everything.

its been a while since i did mine, but the idle sol and the other elec thingy on the carb needs to be wired up. i know i joined both positive wires together then ran a single power wire, and then earthed them to a screw on the carb. mine would idle when cold and die when hot

I had a similar problem, ended up being the choke being stuck on
