hey guys i got a snorkel
and im missing the part that conects to the snorkel and the
air filter box
soo what i was thinking about getting some vaccum cleaner hose
and attaching it to the snorkel and the air filter ?
will it work and what wouled i need to do to make sure no water
gets in it ?

it will worl but make sure u got a toob of silicone to make it extra water tight haha

yeah but they wouled have to bend in very dirffent diractions
it wouldent work..
i thought vaccum hose because you can bent it any way you want to..

Try and find a local hose and fittings supplier for machinery and trucks. Guaranteed to find what u need in one if those shops

but whats rong with the vaccum idea ?
i mean if it will work i got some laying around the house for free
its only from the air filter box to the snorkel its very small lenght ?

It will work fine just watch out it doesn't deteriorate on you with the fuels and oils in ur engine bay. I know some if that flexible corrugated plastic is really thin and can also cut really easy.

yeah your right i know they cut easy
but i was looking on ebay and the sierra snorkel kit use some thing very similar any they havent had any complaints..

Vacuum cleaner hose tends to be corrugated which will disrupt airflow. You're better off with something smooth...

Can't find an article to back me up, but thats not always correct  has alot to do with air speed as well.

go to a truck parts place. they sell the flexible hose in the big sizes.

Obviously the higher the air speed the worse it is, but moving air against a corrugated surface is bound to create turbulence...
