It may be a stupid question but,

Since i had to rebuild my rear diff, the longside axle is twisted (the spline is straight then twists the rest of the spline)

I have a welded rear, and 33x12.5s pulling and tugging on these poor axles.

Should i invest in a replacement axle?

then i will be upgrading diffs later

its the welded diff thats twisting the axle. as its locked all the time it has no give. our group all run 33's, airlockers, bigger engines and diff gears and not 1 rear axle problem yet, we don't run t/case gears though. spend the money on a good locker and you won't need to upgrade the diffs for 33's ( and you won't twist axles, unless getting airborne )

The diff replacements will be proper lockers...

autolockers and airlockers will give the same result. An airlocker is exactly the same as a welded diff when it's on. I have twisted axles with autolockers and a mate has twisted axles and broken axles with airlockers. It would depend what situation you're in and how much force is on the axle.

Im only playing with these original diffs.I havent snapped one as yet!

But if i go the bundy diffs, There will be better lockers put in...
