ok so i have a stock jimny (love it, its heaps of fun) so i go to tafe every monday and tuesday night and when im driving home theres no traffic, so you can hammer it, now if any body knows mona vale road there a section from st ives to terry hills where you can get going pretty fast, but mine pushes for 110kph on 4000 revs, is this normal? and will this fuck my car ?
any ffed back would be much appreciated.

With stock wheels mine sat on 110 for 3 hours with more pedal. I'd say it would of hit 120/125 easily but I never tried.

With 31's and standard gearing it hits 100 but take a little longer to wind out, but I still think it would go to 110 with out an issue

Something sounds wrong if your efi 1.3 struggles for 110.

110ks @ 4,000 revs seems pretty high to me.

Never owned a jimny, actually only ever seen a couple, but my Maruti (carby) will do that, at about the same revs, and will go higher, easily.

mine will sit on 140kph easy on stocks and 125 on my 31" tsls.

Thats about right for a jimny.. Factory it was around 4000 at 100kph (depending on what engine/gearbox/year model)

Mine sits on 4000rpm doing 110kph (100 on the gauge) and I am running 235/75 tyres and can keep accelerating. had it up to 130kph on the gauge overtaking a truck and it still had a little left in her.

What engine do you have? Auto or manual?? Is that foot flat to the floor when doing 110???

yeah VVT engines do that the older models jimnys like mine do 100Kh at 4000.... 110kmh like 4200

and yeap that is normal for a jimny... suzuki built those engines to work like that... if u see ur dial the red section doesnt come till 6000rpm..... rather than in others big 4wds that comes in 4000

na its a race track there. thats beside the point its about top speed not that he was speeding.

before i pulled the old sierra ute apart it would do about 80 flat out but it was pretty tired. cant remember the revs that it got to but it wasn't that high, just wouldn't get the revs in top gear.

My Coily sits on 110 easily at about 3800 but i prefer to sit on 100 doing 3500 thats with 30's. I've had her up to 125 last time i drove to Port Hedland bit scary at that speed tho.

I took me vitara, stock, up to 120k, held it there so as to have it level out, then punched it, just to see what she had in reserve, but that was for a total of about, bugger all, then back to about 95.

Maybe you have better roads or something, im in a way out rural area, an speed in small cars, no thanks.

If theres no head winds, I can get 90 with 27s, but if its winding cant go passed 70

I think something is wrong with mine lol, hence why I bought my gti, conversion time hehe just got find someone to do it lol

Mine, with stock gearing, ( she was a 1l but now has a 1.3l) will do far better than that.

3rd at around 4,000 is 70k, my play revs/speed. 31" claws.

Do a good tune up, make her breath well, both in and out, good spark, 98 octane only, advance the curve and she should in stock form do far far better than that.

That is pretty sad.

110 @ 3500 in 5th or 100 @ 4500 in 4th depending on the day. Did manage to get it too 130 once
