G'day
Anyone know what size belt i will need to hook up my p/s?
It's a 96 swb efi vitara JX with NO a/c
I'm bolting it all in tomorrow so i wanted to have all the parts here ready to go

I don't know if they are the same, but I have a 92 8v carby, and if all is standard they run a 4pk 810 for alternator and p/steer.

Get some string, loop the string around the pulleys with the tensioner about 1/4 tension position, measure length of string needed, write down measurement, go shopping with measurement with thought of single v or 4mulitv in supercrap or similar, choose checkout chick with boobs.

With the tensioner in the 1/4 tension position, its so if you buy an exact size belt, you can get it on and off. I did mine with no tension, it was a pain because i couldnt move the tensioner to get some slack. I ended up driving it on with a screwdriver..

My G16b bottom end with g16a power steering ran 4pk 810mm for both alt/ps.

Come to think of it.. mine did too.. vit ps on baleno 1.6 efi. My ps bracket i had to mod after, so thats prob why it was tight.

10mm longer is not much.. Means the tensioner will only be moved 5mm more.

As in att & p/s on Sully or att on Sully and att on the dd?

Alt w/pump & p/s belt's the same size, I only carry one spare belt that way & that's what fit's.........

If the p/s pump if it was fitted with a/c will be solid mounted, but you can move one bolt & turn the bracket into it's own adjuster.......

I was looking at how that works today

I was part way through making an adjuster when I spotted that....

I ended up using a 800 for p/s aswell
