I have a Econovan that just go's and go's and go's - is cheap to run and seems to have a heap of power and nice LOW first and second gears - Has anyone ever put one in a Suzuki? If now why not - They are cheap to get and rebuild and everywhere - Tony

Adaptor plates. Its not the engine that makes for the low first and second gears, but the gear box.

A 2l must be a vast improvement over the 1l, 1.3l and even the 1.6l tho.

How heavy is the motor+gearbox compared to sierra 1lt/1.3/1.6?

Do it, write it up and take lots of pics and be the SuziFordMazda guru...

I would say getting it all to fit would be the issue or that nobody has ever tried as swapping in an efi 1.6 is fairly painless.

they are a pretty cool engine but I think its probably going to be real heavy, they are tall too

and yeah making the external linkage box work would be hard

they put the diesel brother to that in the Vitara in some markets as well

It would be a motor and box install but I don' think it would be harder than a Corolla install - Hight is not a problem, just cut a hole in the bonnet ;<} but it's not that high I don't think.

Anyone got a FE motor and box cheap? I have a Suzuki with no motor to put it in.
