I have a Vitara with a 2" body lift and a 3" Calmini Articulation System. I will be fitting BF Goodrich Mud Terrains.

Could the people who answer please provide me with the rim offset and size if possible.

Can I fit a 15" rim on a Vit?

Tyre size options I want are:

32"x12.5"

32"x10.5"

31"x12.5"

31"x10.5"

I think you'll need some sort of gearing to be able to turn a 31" tyre. I believe the vitara guys usually go for the front steel diff housing when going anything over a 30" tyre as the factory one can't usually handle it. Some of the vit guys will be able to explain better i'm sure.

Yeah, you'll need to change your gearing.

Try going for a 30x9.5, or, if you don't want to loose too much low range, a 235/75.

As for rims, 15s fit perfectly fine, I wouldn't recommend above a -22 offset. Although with the amount of lift you have, you could probably go deeper. Personally I like f100 rims, which I believe is about -13

It's pretty hard to avoid the gearing issue.

Are you prepared to work the guards? I would have thought a 33 should fit easily with that setup with some slight guard work behind the front wheel, but gearing 33's on road is complex.

It seems pretty pointless to put 5" of lift into a car and then a tyre that pretty much cleared stock like a 30 or a 31.

That's the great vitara problem though - vitaras aren't really guard limited - they are gearing limited.

sounds similar to timbo's setup and he runs 33s, his gearing is sorted however.

I'll sort the gears soon after. . I am prepared to do some guard chopping? But how much are we talking? Are there any places that do it professionally?

Any decent bodyworks will chop your guards, but damn, prepare your wallet.
