hey guys finally got my 1.6 baleno motor into my coily :)

only problem is that i tried for hours to to get the engine mounts to line up... it just doesnt seem to work. the motor is sitting about 10mm too far forward and the VL mounts seem way too tall.

il just double check with u guys, does the box shape mount from the ben T kit go on the intake side??

and how is the mount offset? is the rubber mount suposed to be forward or rear?

any ideas how i can get this to work? im stuck

is this a VL engine mount?

Mr T's kit had no instruction's??? :?

the vl mount's are about 2mm taller, but don't have the give in them like the sierra mount's so are a lil harder to fit, bolt the driver's side in loosely first then you'll havae to leaver the passenger side in..

& the longer end of the driver's mount goes to the front of the car, moving the mount back..

:helloo:

Vl Mounts: Big square side of the mount goes to the top, The other tapered side of the mount goes to the bottom.

Cut the dowel pins off.

They went in with alot of fiddling around. Hammer and bit o wood is all you need to tap them to line up. Easy.

finally its in!!!!

u guys made it sound so easy lol.

i did have the mounts the right way. i undid the gearbox mount.

then i installed the drivers side mount loosely.

the passenger side was a mission to get in. had to get the original suzuki jack and open it between the chassis rail and the gear box to move the engine across. then had to get a massive hammer and dolley to smash the engine mount to line up....

then i cross threaded the bolt for the mount! went down to the local wrecker and found some more and all good now :)
