Do any of you other guys use a nutsert tool?
I find it invaluable.
This morning I removed the windscreen sill guard. It was impossible to get the black plastic plugs out so I had to drill them out.
I replaced them with nutserts and used stainless cap screws to fix the guard back in place.

They certainly are a man's best friend
I used captive nuts to hold my snorkel onto the windscreen frame

Looks like the exact same one I have.
What size mandrels have you got? I've got M4 and M6, and I was wondering if there is an M8.

I think I paid about $30 for the tool. The nutserts aren't realy cheap, from memory they M6 ones work out to around 30 cents each.

If you want one just to put in a couple of nutserts give me a shout.
Disregard if you are using it as an excuse to buy more tools

OK seeing I am a nice guy I took some time out of my hektik schedule to have a look
the kit, gun, 4, 5 and 6mm noses and some inserts in a metal box $231.98 +gst
the gun alone $89.62
3, 4, 5 and 6mm noses are all $29.30 +gst each
there is an 8mm nose but its been discontinued and I just bought our last one I think 8mm is a bit above what you would use a nutsert for anways
all inserts are between 15 abd 20 cents each + GST
add postage onto that, 3kg express post bag would cover it easilly

I was going to use it as an excuse to buy more tools but $250 is too much for me to justify ATM.
Might contact you when I'm in the need Damo

Trust me...once you have one....it's like that old Brother label machine ad.
You'll use it on EVERYTHING!
Anywhere you find those PITA plastic inserts or plug/screw setups...a nutsert works so much better.
