I don't know much about them, but looking at the picture of those and comparing them to the genie wildcat images i could find - including the one posted here. I find I don't like the ebay ones as much, mainly due to the quality of the bends. The ebay ones have noticeable compression bends whereas the genies do not. However, that could just be the images.

The extractors have arrived today, I ended up calling them as I hadn't heard and he says he was about to call me. Ok that can happen.
Taking them down to Competition and Industrial Coatings for coating tomorrow.
Good stuff!

I picked them up yesterday and they didn't have the fitting for the sensor so the bloke just welded one in, didn't even check the size! oh I am getting a bad feeling about this. Hope one size fits all. Glad I checked because he didn't.
I might be getting fussy, but that shakes my confidence, that plus the daggy looking welding job and the state of the extractors, all dinged up with deep scratches and burrs. They were so bad the CIC guys mentioned it and said they would tidy it up before coating.
The exhaust bloke was also stumped about what to do when no flange was available. He didn't call me before I went down (thats twice now I've heard the excuse - "I was about to call"), I suggested welding a reduction on the other flange and attaching that to the exhaust, pretty bloody obvious.
Reckon I might hang around when he is fitting it...

sounds like a case of getting what you pay for? don't mean to be rude or anything - we've all trusted people who in the end didnt know what they were on about.
as hermsie62 said - hope it all works out =)

do u guys mind me asking what a reasonable price is. i havent realy looked into exausts that much as my sierra has a new system from the cat back. (think its identical to the stock one) my brother (mechanic)tells me i should see about getting a bigger one and loosing a muffler if i can and some extractors. as mine builds up moisture and sprays black crap over everything. pluss a bit more power would be nice.
my mate has the stock muffler of his hyabussa he said i could have hahahahaha
i have been toying with the idear.
what sorta price r we talking for a full new system

i budgeted on $1000 for the lot. in the end i decided to just do the extractors as it is a brand new system.
The price fitted was initially $280, then $400, now $320. What it will be in the end, god knows

When i had my 89 Vit, i got the ebay extractors for $200, and the 2in exhaust $150, but they left the stock old cat in... so $350 all up... for my GV, no extractors, but got a new High Flow Cat for $300, and a 2in exhaust with high flow muffler for $250, so $550 all up...
For a Jimny, that require a special type of extractors, i would budget from $300 to say $500... then $150 to $300 for the 2in exhaust depending on what muffler you get... and if you get a high flow Cat, which i highly recommend doing, anther $300... so all up min, $750, and max, $1100...

Thats sucks dude! That why if you want it done right do it your self!
Also did it have the small pipe on the flange going the last pipe at the back of the motor?

Ok. They are fitted now. Pics
However... This does not impress me.
I wonder how much a new one costs and where I can get one from - other than the dealers.
Sound is no louder - good
Too early to tell the effect but in traffic I was going from 2nd to 4th.

some extractors dont need gasket/flange. they just bolt up to the head.
you should get price on cover and get fitter to come up with refund. thats not good enough.
Did you say Mettams fitted them? they have been around for a long time.

Yeah thats what I thought too. The dates don't line up very well, one is in Jan, the other Jun and the odo is the same. Perhaps a typo.
The manifold is an interesting design with that large collector, but I still find it hard to believe its worse. I have several months of fuel economy records to compare a before and after so we will see in a few weeks some real world impact.

Hmmm... in my experience, the only loss in power is at low RPM, less than 3500RPM, and once i get over that, there is a noticeable power increase...
I adjusted my driving style to keep the revs higher, using the gears a bit more...
But one thing i did notice, any gains from extractors, and or a better exhaust system, wasnt immediately noticeable it took about 2 to 4 weeks before i really noticed... especially on those zooks with EFI & ECU, once it adjusted to my new driving style, giving it a bit more right foot, ok well a fair bit more right foot, once the ECU had learnt my driving style, and remembered it, it was great, and fuel consumption was better !
But as those figures show, putting extractors on, and then connecting to a stock exhaust system, isnt gonna make any difference, in fact it was a loss... to get any real benefit from having extractors, it really needs a complete better exhaust system, as the figures showed...
