Hi guys, just wondering what the easiest way to replace the left engine mount on my 92 Vitara. (G16B)
I don't have access to a hoist but have an engine cranne handy.
What's the easiest way to replace the broken mount?

undo the bolts and lift the engine up with a jack..

pretty much how i did mine from what i remember

Just jack it up from the sump? Then just slide out the broken mount?
Is there enough clearance?

There should be two spots to hook the crane to from above. Loosen up and unbolt yer mounts, use the crane to lift 'er up and stuff a new Mount in. Easy as with a engine crane.


Without a crane just jack 'er up from below.

yep.. exactly what i did.. knew i forgot something

Put a bit of wood on the jack to distribute the weight a lil better...
