Not really interested in upgrading the wiring just yet.. will run spotlights later. :) . but has anyone tried these??

Are they worth the $50-70?? over stock bulbs??

Yeah nah. Same same but different.
I had normal coloured ones which aren't worth the money. And blue coloured ones which are crap in the rain and long distance they were just for looks. Again, not worth the money. I buy bulk eBay high wattage bulbs cos I blow bulbs all the time in mud holes.

Narvas arent anywhere near anywhere near that much, and higher wattage goes backwards, this isnt a lounge room light fitting

The phillips ones are great, proper quartz so they dont blow when they get wet, you also need to consider what housings youll use, you could have a pair of photon lasers as a light source and it wont mean bugger all if its scattered all over the palce

mmm ok... so do the phillips offer much improvement over the standard bulbs? Keeping in mind I just want to change the bulbs at this stage..

bought philips not long ago, $50

IMO any light upgrades on stock wiring is a waste of time
