Hey guys,

Run a search and can't seem to find the right answer.

Set up i'm running is SPOA, 2 inch shackles and 2 inch spring lift (EFS items)

Ever since I put the EFS springs in i've noticed when I brake the car tries to steer to the right. From what i've seen the car doesn't have a steering wheel spacer or a dropped drag link. Would both these be affecting this? doesn't try to steer me until I try brake. I've tried bleeding both sides and there isn't any air in the system but it still does it.

Any suggestions?

put in a High Steer kit should fix the problem .. have u checked all ur brakes ..

have a look to see if you have a sized calliper.

Pretty sure it's to size shep. Easiest way to check that would be just to pull the wheel off and see if it's clamping when ya stand on the brakes eh?

Checked the brakes. Both calipers bite when the brake is pressed.

I had stock springs before with a leaf taken out. After the EFS it's now starting to do it. I can control it easily. You just have to gently pull back on the wheel. Vitara power steering in it so that helps.

Obviously the EFS are 40mm higher.

I had a similar problem but it turned out one caliper was partly seized (I know you've said they both bite) but they both grabbed just that one was grabbing harder because it wasn't seized. The one that was seized was also partially stuck on and this caused it to slightly pull left while off the brakes, and pull harder to the right when on them.

Also, does it do it if you brake in reverse? (obviously a lot harder to test) but possibly will tell you if it's turning under suspension compression in the front?

I'm not suggesting going as fast as you can in reverse and jump on the picks, but what's the lowest speed it will do it at going forwards?

Just generally braking. At any speed. Haven't tried reverse yet. Might give that a go shortly.

i pull to the right, but thats cause im right handed, i hang to the left though, how does that work???

I've had trouble with pulling to left when not braking,
I've just put a kit through front calipers and found both had limited movement even though braking strength was good, I'm thinking calipers were not releasing evenly.
Also replace rear shoes and cylinders, similar story.
Still pulling to left a little but an improvement

Only started after the EFS 40mm. Kinda why I thought perhaps this was the culprit. Considering it's got 2 inch body lift, 2 inch shackles, 40mm leaf and SPOA and no high steer or steering. thought maybe that little bit extra lift has changed the whole thing. Had no problems previous. Even drove the dam thing from Sunny Coast to Darwin.

Drove to work this morning and after a bleed seems no where near as bad. Where's the best place to get a caliper rebuild kit from? Had a search around last night for an hour and couldn't find much in the ways of a rebuild kit. just a complete caliper exchange with Lowrange.

i bought my kits from repco from memory they were $18 a side. i have the PBR part numbers if ya need them.

Yeah swing em my way. Repco palmerston is notorious for screwing up. But i'm pretty sure that's just their way of saying f*ck you for buying independent motor mart out. They retsained the staff and the staff lost out on $2 an hour or something.
