What does the switch do, and is it important?

Later 1.0 transfers have a switch to light up a 4wd light on the dash.
Reduction gears can be fitted to switch cases but not non switched.

Yeah all 1.0 cases (with or without switch) have more reduction than 1.3 cases.

Non switch case is unpopular because flanges are not interchangeable with 1300 cases so it is not a straight swap into a 1300. Do a search for a full explaination.

The case I have has had the flanges modified to accept NT shafts.
I pulled it out of an NT 1.3.
I'll pull it apart and sell it with the rest of my scrap alloy.

I have a wt 1.3. With the case you have Want33, would there be any work needed to swap this case with my stock one?

You would need to fit NT flanges to jackshaft and both tailshafts..
