What size are the bolts that hold drum on to the axle shaft? M12?

the studs in the axle, no idea how long they are but at a guess 35mm?

Yeah they would be about that. Has anyone had the nuts on these fail before? Prolly just idiots doing them up too right i'd say.

Rattle guns are OK, it's usually the ape on the trigger that's the problem!!! Present company excepted of course

I think i'll replace them with some course thread high tensile bolts.

ive had plenty of nuts die, I think they are just too thin and they wear over time like all fasteners

jsut get some generic nylocs, they fit fine and are a lot fatter, you could also turn wheel nuts around
