i've got a g13a and a g13b and they both have a similar amount of ks on them and was wondering which is the better motor

the G13b (and for all intents and purposes we are talking 8valve carby motors here) is a bit smaller and I think a bit shorter stroke but if you can tell any difference in driving you are doing well

Correct. But if its actually a G13BA you have then only difference AFAIK is capacity.

G13A = 1324 cc /SOHC 8V carby
G13BA = 1298 cc / SOHC 8V carby

the a engine has a longer stroke, different rods, crank, pistions and have an oil feed line in the block as back in japan or where every they are made you can get stock turbo engines.

both are pretty much the same to rebuild.
