Does any one know if the Calmini 3" lift will work in a SV620?
I know on Stuey's SV420 he had to modify the calmini pinion mount to suit, would the SV620 be the same?
Is there anything else i would need to change to make it fit/work?

yep, same deal with the crossmember & the diff drop brackets as the SV420....

I have a modified calmini RHS diff drop bracket to suit the SV's & I think I have a untouched LHS calmini diff drop bracket somewhere.

I am also running the GV 2.5" calmini springs.

Exactly the same Joe, not sure how the weight of the V6 would go using the SE416 kit though, if it sagged theres always small coil spacers to rectify the prob.

G'day Sean i thought about the weight of the v6 and was thinking about using GV Calmini front coils like Atari has in his.

There is some really nice ones over east and ill be coming into some money soon so i will more then likely get one trucked over from there.
Once i get one ill swap all the good bits over (lockers, suspension, GV diff) and the swb is back to a stocker ill sell it off

Another quick SV question
I am planing on running 255/70r16's (31's) will 5.12 diff gears bring it back to stock gearing?
Also will it make a difference to gearing with it being an auto or manual, i would like an auto but will settle for a manual if that is all that's around at the time

both auto and manual SV's run 4.6 diff gears, so 5.12s will help. And I think that 5.12's only correct for 30's, so you will still be a little under geared.

Oh ok is a 225/75r16 the same as 30/9.5r15? i want to keep stock gearing as this will be a tourer

225/75 16 is about 29".

245/75 16 is 30.5 ( real world measurement would be closer to 30")

I didn't really want to run a body lift anyways so if i can just run the calmini suspension+30's+5.12= stock gearing that's a win

Tombutt has no BL, 70mm lift ( or therabouts) and 245's. He gets a little scrubbing, but its not unmanagable.

Gearing with 245/75/16 and 5.12 diff gears is pretty close to standard if not a tiny reduction which I find really helps these cars keep speed up hill as all the power is 3 grand and up. With no body lift a fair bit of hammer work is required but I'd never stick the body lift back in as I love how low and stable my car now is. You can keep it fairly neat looking with the cutting and hammering anyway so you do t notice too much. If you go with the gv rims you will be fine if you go with something with more offset you will really struggle for clearance In the rear. But all in all I think 245/75/16 and 5.12 diff gears and 60 or 70mm lift is a good set up for a touring car. I went transfer case gears in mine as I like driving up some harder tracks and the low down torque wasn't able to do it too well and had to slip the clutch abit. With the auto I think you would be fine and not need transfer case gears
