want to build up a vitara looking at a 1.6 wagon 3 inch calmini 1 inch body hopefully 31 inch muds minimum rear locker poss front aswell reduction gears.any ideas on exactly which way to go auto manual and what componants to use???

The best component to use mate, would be the search function. Search for vitaras in the rigs section.. Get an idea of what you want. Not what someone else reckons you want...

you'll want to add a GV steel front diff to that list. personally i'd be looking at the altered ego 4.5" lift kit & a 4 speed auto.

will definatly use the search function but that 4.5 inch lift goes straight to the top of my wish list now to sell the gq to fund it al

yeah, if i was to build another one that's the way i'd be going, no bodylift, H25a or H27a auto converted SV420, 5.12:1 diffs.

well that kit looks good have emailed them to get postage costs etc.it will have to be capable after getting out of a patrol just got to find a good starting point.still not sure about auto or manual

I have aquired a 96 v6 wagon it is getting hilux diffs front and rear and 35's rear diff is in body lift fitted but am having trouble finding reduction gears does anyone know if they are available for the v6 vitaras.would like to use the std engine but am also considering commodore v6 auto and hilux transfer if no reduction gears available.motor gearbox and transfer seem to be my biggest problem with the whole thing
