I was more interested in the tranfser bash plate as I thought I read somewhere that with the auto button cases theres a few wires that like to break and therefore no more 4WD button changes

I was going to get one of those, but i don't hit my transfer case any more on those darn twigs i use to when it was a stocker.

Just a heads up... Had some bad dealings with these guys and so have others. They more than likely don't have the items in stock and will make you wait up to 2 months for them... Just be careful

OK, so Transfer Case Skid sounds like a goer I might see if they have any in stock first. So what about the control arm protection?

The only other issue I have with these is I also do alot of sand driving. The transfer plate looks like a nice sand pit collection area? I have thought about driling some holes in it but will that loose its strength and therefore whats the point? Thoughts? I saw someone had a nice lavender one with holes in it looks like a better bit of gear especially for this reason

I've got items very similar on my Jimny, look identical!!! Had problems in the past with bending the radius rod sill mounts so purchased then, had to do a bit of grinding to make then fit, not to sure if it was from previous damage or not though!!! Worth the investment personally!!

No.

That 'COMPANY' just re-sell parts that they have made to order overseas. That is why it takes so long. Manufacturing and shipping delays.

If the lead time has reduced, it may be due to them holding stock now, or expedited shipping.

I just know that they were way cheap before with huge delivery times, and now apparently its "fast" but well

All valid comments above, but to be fair on them, they do warn you that it will take a long time to ship your parts to you *sometimes 2 months) and they only take a small deposit, so it's not like you have to invest loads of money up front. I have $2000 worth of kit on the way from them. they took a $50 deposit, and they have left very good communications with me so far, and explained any delays etc very well. They have also swapped some steel parts for alloy at no extra charge so that I don't have to wait much longer.

I'm happy so far. I will be leaving a very thorough review on here once I receive the parts and try to fit them (successfuly hopefully!)

Note that they offer two types of transfer case skid. One is small and looks particularly tough, and the other is a broad plate with holes in it. I would go for the one with holes in it if I was using my zook on sand. I have a suspicion that the other style will catch sand or dirt in it due to the shape.

I've got the transfer bash plate from ODA. Welded some extra steel on the the transfer plate to stop stuff getting pushed up towards the case. Like so

And I also have the Control arm skid plates, they have been great, taken plenty of abuse, bent one of them so it didn't stay in place, so I had to take it off and bash it back into shape. Great investment.
Transfer plate had worked brilliantly since to extra steel was welded on it.

I pretty much bought everything except for the Front Diff Guard. That was far too expensive when I ordered at the end of may, but its actually a good price now, under $200. I'll try it when I have some more cash.

I have Steel front and Rear Bumper with swing away tyre carrier and tow ball, steel rock sliders, control arm skids, fuel tank armour (alloy), transfer case armour (alloy) and steering damper.

I've been informed that delivery is next week.

Nice. I just checked out your build thread too, I am after some MT,s how are you finding the hankooks? I know you said they are compariable to the BFG's is this still the case?
I was going to attempt to get the KL71's but none in the country in a 215 and non on order. I currently have the Maxxis A/T they seem fine ATM have not really mud tested I was simply getting ideas in case they are no good, as they really are not that aggresive looking pattern. Cheers

I have only praise for the Hankooks MT03 so far. Only negatives are the construction of the sidewalls is not as strong as BFG's and I think the price reflects this, and also the white writing is a bit crappy so Ihad the tyres fitted with writing facing inwards because imo it looks crap with the white writing outwards.

As for grip, they are excellent really good tyre. Superb grip on road. Off road they are excellent too, but when I'm offroad I sometimes wish I went even more hardcore and go the Kumho KL71 tyres, but not sure how those would have faired on-road.

The Hankooks are certainly a great all rounder.

Yeh I wanted the KL71s but there is none in Australia in a 215? I already have the AT's so I wanted a spare set of MT's that I would only wack on for mud runs so the more agressive the better.

Stupid small wheels and limited choice.

When I was looking they told me Kumho 'didn't do the KL-71 in a 215'. This was because it wasn't in their catalogue. I insisted that Kumho did, and a quick phone call later by the garage to the Kumho distributer and the garage had a price for me.

Yes the 215 is for sale in australia and has been since the KL71 was released. Time to find a new tyre shop

They didn't say they were not for sale they said there is none left and no ETA on new ones which they said also meant none even on order i.e boats. They did call Khumo to ask this? I will check a few others. Cheers
