Hey everyone,
the other day i noticed my vitara isnt sitting level. The drivers side is about 10cm lower then the passengers side. I went to my friend who is a machanic and he said not to worry about it... i love my suzuki but i cant stand the idea of it not sitting straight.. if anyone knows whats wrong I would really like to know. all help will be much appricated. thankyou.

check your springs are seated properly

there is a few options...

1. start driving from the LHS

2. swap the springs left to right, if that doesn't work...

3. make up a 2 small "packer" spacers out of your mums teflon/HDPE chopping board. (hiding all the evidence)

just one question is it 10cm lower (100mm) or 1cm lower (10mm) if it's 100m you got some bigger problems to look for.

I did No# 2 and it fixed me leaning problems.

Has it just had new springs put in ?
Springs are slightly bigger on the drivers side, if you put them in the wrong side, you may notice a lean...
Some other idea's... maybe the springs on the passenger side arnt seating correctly, or maybe something is jammed in the springs... best to get underneath and have good look around, and measure the spring length, maybe one of them is stuffed...

Also loosen your sway bar and check it if u still got one. Mine was sitting rhs down and found one link pin longer than the other. Swapped sides and now happy days.

I put a spring spacer in the rear and all sweet.

Wow thanks for all your help people. yes my vitara has just had a 3" calmini suspetion lift and i didnt know that the springs on the drivers side are supose to be bigger then the springs on the left hand side can anyone else confirm this is true? i didnt put the suspention lift in myself , the previous owner did, maybe he stuffed up. Is this a big problem? is it hard to fix? Can i find out for sure by counting the rings on the suspention springs on both sides? Thanks for all you help guys. much appriciated

Calmini springs are the same size left/right, it probably wouldn't hurt to swap them left to right.

Is it 10mm or 100mm?

Look in the engine bay at the strut tops, the should be even in the hole in the body work, they can bend from jumps/crash damage. etc.

its not 100m.. i really just said that so you guyz wouldent say dont worry about it.. its about 50mm ROUGHLY. ill have to mesure it to tell you for sure. The difference is large enuff to bother me when the car is parked. Ill swap the springs around, see if that helps.
