I dont have $3,000.oo + to spend and i wouldn't spend it at my local 4WD shop to keep them employed when they cant return a phone call because I drive a Suzuki !
So I'm looking to buy a Locker from Lowrange for my Jimny , But Which One ?
Powertrax Lockright Locker or Spartan Locker ?
I will Put one in the Rear First, One in the front maybe later .
Please Help .

lockers are such a hit and miss thing. i had a spartin in my zook. nearly killed me a few times and very nearly got me defected. however some people love them..

imo go a Chinese air locker

you can by the real thing from low range for not much more than the Chinese Rice-Locker copy, pay a diff specialist to install it rather than the accessory fitter that arb employ & you'll still be miles ahead of a locally bought one.

Can't get auto lockers for the front of jimny's mate! IMO save your money and get a air locker.

When you say it nearly killed you how so ?

In my LWB Vitara I have lock rite rear,
and spartan front lockers.
Happy with both.
Spartan appears beefier and comes with new cross pins.
lock rite appears to be smoother,
but that could be because its been in a lot longer.
I found the Spartan easier to fit,
as it doesn't use any shims/thrusrt washers.

Yes some Jimnys (not totally clued up one which ones) have 8 bolts on the front crownwheel. Others have 10 it seems. 10 bolt ones are surplus to useful requirements though

Best on-line price I have found so far is from Rocky Road, who list the RD87 for US$835 but their shipping is high.

There are US E-bay sellers, who come close to this price with better shipping, but they don't stock the RD87.

Low Range can do air lockers cheaper, but don't stock the RD87 either.

low range dont stock any of them. but i have no doubt they could order one in.

i bought a sierra rear from them and they shipped it too the US and back to aus for a touch under 900
