hi all ,i currently have a v6 vitara lwb , i spotted one the other day had a commodore v6 in it (way too heavy) but did get me thinking about possible engine conversions for vitara's ... would like to see some opinions on here ,,, engine size cc's? adaption to gearbox ? fuel economy ? tell me whay ideas you have or what motor is in yours ... khanacross

bolt in a H25 or a H27, if you already have the 2.5 v6 or just spend money on regearing it you are running larger tyres.

mines a 2ltr v6 ,,, not looking to change at the moment ,but just curious about whats possible ,,personally im a fan of the nissan sr20 2ltr twin cam but would love to hear from others ...khanacross

I Measured one up for a vit recently. It would have to be one of the most complicated conversions available IMO. And the rest of your vit will shatter at even the sugestion of that sort of power.

Go the 2.7 V6

Have you got the 1.6L Diffs fitted??? ( i think they are 5.12's??? )

mine is a standard 20ltr v6 with standard diffs ,,it has had the front centre changed to steel in stead of alloy ,,i dont know what ratios they run

I've seen a couple of 4AGE motors in vitaras on here.

I'd be changing them to the 1.6L versions ( like mine ) then you'll have all the pick up you'll need at 1 / 100th of the work

Useless to this guy though as the H20 has almost the same power as a 4AGE anyway..... :crazy:

They have 5.12 ratios. Fit these to your SV for better (lower ) gearing.
