Hi all,
Just a quick question, the air con in my vit doesn't work. And the compressor has siezed, did the vits ever come with pwr steer but no air-con?
or do i need to find a new compressor just to run the belt around?

If you are asking how do I hook it up so the power steer has a belt running around it and not the air con its easy

you can remove the compressor and the top half of the mounting bracket and the power steer bracket will stay there, then look at the 2 bolts behind the power steer pulley holding the pump to the bracket youll notice there is a long groove next to teh top mount, simply undo the bolt and swin ghte pump over and put the bolt into the groove, that becomes your adjsuter

A sierra owner might chime in with the belt size, its pretty short

If you are chasing a 2nd hand compressor you can also use a compressor from a type 1 Baleno. Just need to swap over the top head piece on the compressor where the hoses go, otherwise they are the same, Type 2 and im not sure about and type 3 baleno is different providing your A/C system is an R12 air con system
