Thats a very vague question.
Is there something in particular you are concerned about?

A Vehicle and Model would help, you ask a question and give no information, you won't get many answers

Too tall.
Too hard.
Stupid shackle reversal.
It's a terrible system. Take it out and sell it to someone who knows no better and start from scratch.
You can remove leaves, play with shocks etc to try and get it to work, but you will throw so much of it away you might was well sell it now complete and get the car down to a sensible height.
Steve.

G'day mate
I read some where that you wanted to run 35's
My old sierra had the calmini 5 inch lift with a three inch body lift and 33's and the tyres still rubbed in a few spots
Even when i only had 31's on it it still rubbed on the firewall
http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Fo ... sc&start=0
This fella was doing the same but i think he has givin up on it

Do you really want 37's or bigger Shane? if so, there's going to be nothing of the suzuki driveline or suspension left (and fawk all of the body), so whether the calmini kit is any good or not is a moot point.
I can only comment on sierras up to 35.5" but up to that point, there's no real requirement for suspension lift (or body lift if you are really keen), considering the guards will have to be cut anyway, you might was well cut more an run less lift and enjoy a car that doesn't fall over.
In any case, Shane, I think you are trying to build beyond you experience with suzukis - you clearly don't know how capable they are yet. You need to hook up with some suzuki guys and see what and how they are driving. It will change your build plans.
At the moment, I think you are thinking from the position of a small-big car build - i.e big diffs, big, tall car with a suzuki body on it. That's one approach, but you might find you will be outdriven by much smaller cars.
Steve.
PS - there is NO QUESTION a 31" tyred sierra will drive anything your GU can.... and then there's all the stuff the sierra can drive that the GU can't.

i like the calmini springs however i reckon the shackle reversal stuff is garbage. also
bigger tyres make a sierra less capable unless gearing is also addressed.

Just quickly:
It is not going to be a daily driver as I will trailer it.
I am very sure that Suzuki's are very capable.
As it stands I am looking at ideas of what I want in a suzuki, what I have seen others do and what I have read and that is why I joined the forum.
Yes 31's on a Suzuki will take you where ever you want to go. I will take mine out for a run but at the end of the day I have a plan and will play with ideas like everyone else has.
I want mine to be a bit different and if that means changing the diffs, extending the chasis and replacing things then I will, and that is why I am asking questions.

Cool Bananas. IMO you should ditch the suspension and start again with lux diffs and 35's. Be sure to add atleast 12" to the wheelbase, more if possible.
Oh, and heaps of pics

Yeah some have said Lux diffs while others have said 60 series diffs while other recommend GQ diffs..
Leaf spring versus coil.
Motor upgrades etc...
I don't want to reinvent the wheel just find out what does work and what does not work.
This is what I am going to do and if someone has done it but it has not worked then please some constructive advice:
Cut rear end off and put in a tube tray
Lenghten the chassis by 300mm
Bigger diff's (Make ???)
Change from leaf to spring (good points or bad)
35" tyres
Engine change later
As I have said things I am looking at doing. I have a picture in my mind and that has come from what i have seen around the place, read about etc.. So there will be pics and updates when it starts....
Thanks..

Why not build something that works rather than what other people run? a sierra on 31's/32's will go very close to outperforming a sierra running hilux diffs on 35's.
Lots of sierras get built by people who wish they had a big car. The beauty of sierras is their size and lightness. A heavy, wide sierra is just a cramped patrol with no room in the cab.
Just my 2c. It's not based on being a suzuki purist, only based on whst I've seen of why suzukis are more capable than big cars.
I think that people that wheel with big cars build their sierras to mimic what big cars do. If you drive with suzukis, you build on their strengths, and the end result is a light, small car that drives rings around the wide, tall, heavy cars.
That's just my experience though. Others will differ.
Steve.

Which is why I think a Sierra is too big for what I like as it it. An LJ is the purest form of the Suzuki philosophy. Narrow, short, light, and lots and lots of RPM....
