Hey guys I want to know about a lift kit. I am buying a lift kit for jimny. Tossing up between 80mm and 50mm but not sure on legal and mods n engineering if needed. Would like the higher lift but don't want to get done. Can someone shed some light on this please. Thanks for ur help

Um...

what sort of wheeling do you plan on doing? Also any thing over 50mm will need castor correction bushs and adjustable pan hard rods.

Yeah I know I will need to spend extra. But I am just after the legalities of it all. If I do 80mm and not engineered and I have an accident am I fucked? Haha yeah lots of 4x4 work. It's a toy and want It to go anywhere.. Thnx

Low is the new lift mate :wink:

I have no idea about the legalities over your way, but do you plan on doing any rock driving? I think 50mm lift with lockers is a good combo and the 80mm lift is a very firm ride, not very nice around town.

Yeah pretty sure now anything over 2" is illegal without engineers cert. Maybe a 2"body and 2" susp lift. Yeah eventually lockers.

don't know about down your way but up here in qld you can legally run 2" spring and 2" body lift together but the body lift needs to be approved by qld transport.
