Going to be getting some extractors and want to know if there are any special things you need to do when fitting apart from a new gasket. They are going on a sierra with a G13A.

always use washers on the stud bolts other wise you risk stripping the thread in the head.

You're still gonna have to take it to an exhaust shop anyways unless ur doing the welding to yourself (that $40 fitting will include the welding). Fitting them to the head is a piece of piss. Just fitted some to mine last weekend and i'll agree with Hooki here - definitely use some washers when fitting. I had to purely because the flange holes on the extractors i got were 12mm holes while the studs are 6mm(?).

How you planning on attaching the rest of the exhuast? or are you going hektik bare headers? or dodgy clamps?

If you need to ask if there is anything special to undoing doing some nuts, replacing a part and doing nuts back up, maybe you haven't thought the rest of the process through.

most extractors you have to either weld to existing exhaust or weld on a flange :helloo:

You need to remove this to fit em too

Side note: That pipe looks to be a decent size - untill you cut thru it and realize it's bloody double pipe with the inner being barely 1 1/4" :evil:

This is what i was told by my exhaust guy that did my system last week. He didn't fully explain it to me but i trust him as he's been doing it for 20+ years.

I think it had something to do with the new wildcat extractors that i got as they have a rather large tolerance in the holes for the exhaust studs.
