May I suggest if we are going to make this work we setup some guidelines and structure. It's easy to say yeah I got N1362 Shoes for the back of my 92 sierra when in reality the backing plates could of been changed and the car either side of it on the production line could of been different anyway :)

So in order to ID the part, maybe as a min we have this

Make and model of the vehicle you fitted it too, maybe even the vin number minus the last digits

Brand of part (different brands use different codes)

Any info on the pack about models it fits

Measurements of some critical parts to help others decide if that's what they have

PICS!!!!! pics of the part, pics of the part with a ruler, pics of where the part goes, pics of the part installed, anything to help others ID what they have, also ATTACH THE FRIGGEN THINGS NO PHOTOBUCKET otherwise its a useless resource when photobucket dies, you delete the pics or whatever, if you cant attach them email them to me and I will add them to your post easy enough

i reckon if you want this to really work well, under the 'suzuki talk' there should be sub categories of maybe each model suzuki, and then one for miscellanious tech.
then within those categories, for example the sierra or vitara section have a questions/ querys category, good tech, useful part numbers, common mods, ect

could also be applied to other sections like trips being split into states, and then within that, have 'upcoming trips', 'tracks', 'comps' ect

this is probably gunna be alot of work but would make everything so much more useful and accessable, cause honesly whos gunna look through 15 pages of part numbers to find the number for brake shoes

this will also stop so many repeated topics, and questions being asked over and over.

its more of a whole forum revamp idea, but this just made me think of it

just my opinion, but i reckon it would improve the site alot, not that theres anything wrong atm ;)

If you list part numbers (obviously non genuine) i'll get you prices (in about a weeks time) on parts if listed so you have a rough price chart as well?

A rough template would be useful to

Make:
Model:
Build Year:
Engine Size:
Engine Code:
Auto/Manual:
Part Description:
Front/Rear:
Passenger/Driver's Side:
Part #:
Fill with a ? mark if you are chasing a part number, oitherwise input known part number
Misc Details:
Cost:Enter price, other wise place a ? mark to query a cost

Eg:
Your chasing some front pads for your sweet vitara
Make: Suzuki
Model: Vitara
Build Year: 1988
Engine Size: 1.6
Engine Code: ?
Auto/Manual:Manual
Part Description: Disk Pads
Front/Rear: Front
Passenger/Driver's Side: Both
Misc Details: Bendex brand
Part #: DB1134HD - HD for heavy duty
Cost: $98.90
