As said I've got an '85 Sierra. Not quite sure what it is, but when I'm at full throttle I get this scratchy tappy sort of noise, almost like a loose screw tapping around but then sometimes it sounds more scratchy.
Any ideas of what this may be? Did do a search but unfortunately didn't come up with my problem!

A picture might help. The only thing I can think of with a pin is the heater tap.

Thats what im thinking.. full throttle and a ticking sound sounds like you need to back off the throttle
