hi :) assome of you may know i recently got a 95 lwb vitara and am digging it alot.

ive got a few questions regarding it and thought id put them all in one thread, thanks for your time.

1. ive got 30X9.5 tyres on 15" sunnies with 0 offset, will 25 mm wheel spacers help clearance or make it worse? or not make a difference? (im going to be running 40 mm suspension lift and will cut guards accordingly)

2. is it relativedly feasable to cut and shut a hilux bullbar to fit my car? (wondering about hilux ones because they seem to be the easiest to come by seconds hand on ebay and such)

3. I would like to carry a jerry can of fuel on the back, but dont really wanna buy or make a whole rear bar carrier thing, have i got any other options though?

4. Exhaust system. where can i get extractors from? will a new exhaust system make any power difference at all? i dont want loudness or anything so if it didnt do anything i wouldnt bother doing it.

5. Would you buy these, or should i get second hand real ones to replace my auto locking ones?

6. to replace my alloy front diff, do i basically need to buy a whole gv front diff and put the guts from my diff inside it? or what ?

7. my suspension feels kind of sloppy i think maybe some suspension bushes are worn out, where is the best place to get a set of replacement bushes? im thinking prob peddars but just thought id ask incase there is somewhere cheaper/ better.

8. i can hear wind coming in my window when its closed when driving at like 90 and up, where can i get a new door/ window seal, or is there some other way to fix it? water doesnt get in or anything but its quite loud at 110 its only on the drivers side.

thanks alot guys, any thoughts and opinions are welcome also

1. Its caliper clearance that is the issue. -25 rims would be a far better solution, but 25mm spacers would probably work.

2. Hilux bar would be pretty close to the same width. Mods would be minimal me thinks.

3. No.

4. Cat back will be best. Mainly because you cannot get off the shelf extractors for the V6.

5. They are Aisan hubs. As goos as any "real" Aisan OEM hub.

6. You need the diff centre AND housing. Both are alloy on your vehicle, and either can break.

7. Go to a suspension expert ( not pedders) and get them to check it out. Your shocks and springs could be shagged.

sorry ive already got the wheels on i just had to shave a few mm off the calipers i meant tyre guard clearance, you dont like spacers?

so will the gv diff have the same ratio as my rear diff?

thanks, good to hear about the lux bar

1. spacer would help stop scrubbing the chassis at full lock but i think getting rims with a bigger offset would be better.

3. mount a holder on the spare wheel mount and leave you spare at home??
i dont think the back door would handle a spare and a jerry can of fuel.

4. ebay for extractors. will make a noticeable difference in power but not huge. edit: sorry didnt realise it was a v6

6. theres a thread somewhere on the subject

Its not that I don't like spacers, its just that they are completely illegal for road use. Also, the add leverage on the wheel studs, and have on occassion been known to come loose.

As for the ratios, I'm not sure on that one sorry. But the ring and pinions are interchangable I believe.

Mate I'd say the less offset you have the as it's the width that's the killer not the physical size although it doesn't help tyres will rub on the chassis I'd think bit as said adjust your steering stops or live with it
