hi guys. been doing a bit of searching the forums about ruf. i see some people use missing links instead of moving the front hanger forward. im thinking of doin ruf soon and dont know weather to get missing links or move the hanger? what are the advantiges and disadvantages of each one? ive also got 2 inch lifted springs in the rear so a ruf should keep it looking pretty level using the stock shackles up front? cheers

You can simply do a half ruf, easier and cheaper,

Reset the oem rears an inch higher than stock, and run inch longer shackles, 1.5" bumpstop extensions and longer shocks. Drill the rear purch back an inch.

This should sit about the right height, and give you probably an extra 80-100mm droop.

Full Ruf only for longer springs I think.

so to do a full ruf by moving the front hanger. this moves the diff forward yes? so what happens with the shock? they need to be moved forward aswell?

usually , but it may just miss the bumpstop

If you trim the edge of the bump stop bracket so the shock doesn't hit it will be fine.. mine was 40mm forward and only hit by around 2mm

if your going to all the trouble of putting a chassis ext in you may as well move the shock mount and bumpstop forward, and raising the shock mount upwards allows for a longer shock to be fitted and hence more travel.

they are both easy enough to move

hmmm so if i used the standard rears up front with 2 inch lifted springs in rear it would still sit level? or the front would be lower?. sorry, bit confused =/

from what i understand, yes, but with standard shackles.

This is how mine sat with same length leafs front and rear. I had the mains and cambered the same front and rear
