I put my dash back in yesterday after a few weeks driving it around like a farmers paddock basher. Not sure why, but now my under bonnet AC fan turns on every time you kick the ignition over. Never had this happen before, no changes to AC/heater wiring, and unplugging what I plugged in won't make it revert back.... it's now permanently on when acc power is on.

Any ideas?

Mine did that, it was the rear sender in the thermostat housing.
I put a switch in instead, so I can run extra cooling when I want to.

Yours could just be the wire came off sender.
It switches fan OFF when it earths out.

Earth the wire and see if fan stops.

Can also happen if there is an air lock in cooling system.

Thanks for the tip Christover. I just unplugged the fan under the bonnet - I can't follow the wiring past the front panels as they're covered in overspray...

I'll sort it out another day, too cold and wet outside right now... might even pull the AC gear off.
