There was some buzz about the altered ego 4.5" lift on here a little while ago.

A) there looks to be some dodgy build quality here, maybe even dodgier than "what's a metric drill" calmini.

B) this isn't ever going to be engineerable in any state of Australia. Way too much whaky geometry and weird workarounds. Anyone want to guess what's going on with caster and steering axis inclination once it's installed?

Anyway, nice to see it in the flesh and not in poser ramp shots.

Sure - there's the buzz, which mostly seemed totally non-critical hyperbole (except for some comments by Fatzook). To me, It looks like a cheaply made and questionably engineered solution, and that install thread is the proof.

How much did you pay for shipping? I tried to order but website wanted $1000+ for shipping.

Order off low range mate, I ordered from low range, and they charged me about $300 for shipping. Ask him if he can separate it into two receipts though. I learnt the hard way and once it hit our shores I had to pay around $400 in tax.

Shipping was $450 DHL Express. I also got a mini spool.

Regards the email, make sure you check your junk folder, sometimes I've found their email going straight there? If you still have no luck like I did just give them a call.

RCA's in vic have been engineered in the past. Offset ones have been knocked back.

Are you seeing the freakin dodgey block at the connection at the knuckle and the strut? i have no issue with the spacers at the top of the strut. if your struts is going to blow the rubber boot at the top, its going to blow with or without the spacer.

no but it does have a spaced strut just like the calmini kit.

having seen the abortion of a Vitara that Athol engineered, I'm pretty sure that he'd pass the Altered Ego kit.

IMO it's about the same level of dodgyness as the rear ball joint spacers that people run in the rear of vitara's...
