i think they are either 4.1 or 4.3 i believe.
think it makes a difference if they are manual or auto aswell
2002 i think will be the m13 motor

i think yours will be 4.1
check your compliance plate to see what motor it is,
it will either be g13bb or m13
then tell the wreckers that your after a diff for a jimny with a *insert engine type here* and manual gearbox

mine is an m13a engine, so you reckon the ration will be 4.1?

Yep, will be a 4.09. Not many Jimnys had this ratio so good luck finding one, most were 4.3.

I'm yet to see a jimny that wasn't 4.09. The Suzuki literature says only Auto's were 4.09 however this doesn't seem to be true.

I have dismantled many Jimny diffs and most were 4.3, I hunted for 6weeks trying to find a 4.09.

putting 4.3s in (assuming you can) would be good to correct gearing for a 215/75r15 tyre though!

4.09 was up to the 2006, 2006 on VVT models are 4.3, I've heard autos are different but yet to confirm that.

Mine is a 08 manual and is 4.3.
As far as I understand, the earlier manuals were 4.1(4.09 to be accurate). If you have the diff centre apart you can easily find out by counting the teeth. The 4.3:1 is 43 on the crown(ring) gear to 10 on the pinion, and the 4.09 is 45 to 11.
The autos I can't be sure.
You can also find out when its all together by doing a rotation test and calculation. I posted a thread on how I did this many months ago.

When I was in need of a rear diff, all I could find was 4.1's I ended up getting a crown and pinion from darkhorse (I think) in Sydney posted to me from his Vit.
