I normally run my GV on 95 but today I put the cheap fuel in by mistake 91 with the 10% Ethanol. My question is will this decrease the performance or consumption and will it harm the engine?

Might decrease performance, consumption might be a little less, shouldn't do anything to your engine

Correct me if I'm wrong or if it's a bad idea, but can't you get octane booster?

1 tank of peasant octane fuel wont be the reason the engine fails in another 400 000km.
worry more about servicing intervals and what type of oil you fill it with.

I'd be burning all off as quick as possible & before refilling so you don't end up with a blend of gummy varnish hippy fuel & petrol.

OK guys, got the message. I am going for a run down to the Gong tomorrow when I get back will fill up with some High Carbon Tax fuel. thanks for your comments

i'm not sure if the H25a runs a knock sensor, but it would be fine on regular unleaded. 95 or 98 would be nicer.

get it as low as you can tomorrow before filling up & see if you notice any difference.

Yeah I realise that, sorry, was more heading along the lines of "is this what they use this for"... I'd assume you wouldn't use it with 95 or 98, just wondering it's purpose if it has one lol

98 octane all the way. I've done 90,000k on 98 octane (now dual fuel) and its amazing the difference the fuel makes when you service the car yourself. Like I took the rocker cover off a few months ago and everything way clean, like you wipe a rag over it and its spotless! And I havn't taken touched it in 3 years (i took it off cause it started leaking, 3 years isn't bad!)
