what is correct caster for a wt sierra? does any one know?
setting up a wt diff under my coiler soon and would like it to be spot on.

Are you running power steer Jonno?

If so, then wind in more caster. IMHO sierras have inadequate caster, and it's mostly because they had manual steering.

Increasing caster makes manual steering much heavier as you are effectively lifting up the front of the car as you steer. However, it's not an issue with power steer so it's a good opportunity to improve turn in and handing.

My WT front diff has (apparently) 3? more caster than a stock WT and I can attest it's massively better on turn in than a stock sierra.

thanks steve i was hopeful you would pop up... currently i have 2' of negative caster due to lift and no caster correction.. yeah it drives shit!

so you would suggest around 6'?

You sure you have 2deg 'negative' caster? That thing must be nice and wandery over the road

I don't think I'd go +6 - maybe +3?

PS my gwagen runs +8 stock from memory

which is why with 65mm of suspension lift and soft shocks it still turns in better than an 80 series with stock caster.
