i went to my local repco to get some transfer case oil and they couldn't tell me what sort of oil i needed so what weight oil do i need to get?

dont they have a catalogue? they are bloody useless!


I think I use castrol epx 80/90 (might be just 90) in my gearbox, transfer and diffs.

they had a castrol book but it didn't have a listing and because it wasn't in the castrol book they couldn't help me
don't the transfer and gearbox use the same oil?

yeah Tcase, Gbox and diffs, 80/90 (plus some stop leak usually).

now you know what oil you need. write it under your bonnet with a perm marker, incl oil filter details etc .. saves remembering :D
