You change the filter at the tank yeh? there is a strainer at the carby that could block up. Are you sure its not pumping?

Have you taken the fuel hose off the carby and turn the engine over, and no fuel comes out of the hose?

just to ask the obvious stuff... are the lines done up the right way around? as in, main line and return line not backwards?... other thing would be that little metal rod that pushes the fuel pump, was that still there?

Test the fuel pump. Put a length of new hose into a fuel source and connect to the inlet of your fuel pump. If it runs than you have a problem with your fuel lines, pick up, etc. If it doesn't you have a problem with your fuel pump.

Tank breather could be blocked, not allowing air in, so fuel can't get out.
Carbon canister is part of breather system, and can stuff things up.
That can be checked by running without fuel cap.

Or a fuel line could be flattened, by a rock, log or suspension.

The fuel pick up in tank can be blocked by the huge dents in most Sierra tanks.

New fuel pumps sometimes need priming.
I suck on fuel hose, but thats a little unsafe.
Some people blow into fuel filler.

A jar of fuel with the pick up fuel line dunked in it,
will tell you were problem lies.

New don't always mean working proper,
so don't rule out the new pump
